Welcome back, Pinafores and Dungarees.

Welcome back, Pinafores and Dungarees.

Hey guys! Welcome to Styled by Keema. Can you guess already what today’s style is about?
I promised to keep you guys posted on the reawakened good old trends, right? Today is for pinafore. Who remembers that time we see a pinafore and all we imagine is a school uniform. I’m pleased to tell you that those days are completely over.

Before we go on, I must say it’s a great time to be alive. Happy international Women’s Day to every woman here. And to everyone lending their voice, action or approval to balance and equal opportunities, you are making a move to save and validate a lot of women and creating a safer world for young girls. May our voices be heard and our words resonate.

Pinafores and dungarees are fast taking a front seat in fashion and it is a trend you totally should hop on. Interestingly, both come with fashion versatility and you have enough forms to choose from which may suit your style.

Here’s the dungaree and it is highly recommended for comfort. You can tweak yours to suit your style.

Dungarees

I personally picked a thing for Idayat Sanni and her effortlessly bold sense of fashion. She is rocking a pinafore skirt here and guys, here’s a style to bookmark and act on asap.

We should talk about satin magic soon too!

Y’all know that Ankara fabrics are a front-liner, what’s better than one front-liner? Two front_liners!
Bosh designs this pinafore with a mix of Ankara prints and I’m giving her an A+.

I’d totally opt for a corporate shirt over a palazzo-dungaree. It takes the look several notches higher and I totally love the crisp use of colours here. Recommended.

You already know that there is no limit to exploring pinafores and this image buttresses just that. Ruffles, peplum, bows are each welcome to take up your look.

In the same vein, I must say that accessorizing is such a charm.

POCKETS! I saw a tweet recently that says “When a girl’s outfit comes with pockets, she acts like she’s won jackpot.” And…I agree!

Lastly, here’s a pinafore jumpsuit illustrated by Keema to add just an extra to your range of options. I hope you love it.
